Land Registry standard form restrictions
Attached below are two documents.
The first document contains, in Microsoft Word form, the text of all 37 of the Land Registry's standard form of restrictions - as set out in the Land Registration Rules 2003 (unamended). Note: These restrictions have now been superseded, and remain only for reference purposes.
The second document attached contains the 2008 revisions (i.e. the text of the standard form of restrictions as amended by the Land Registration (Amendment) Rules 2008). From 10th November 2008, the wording of the majority of the standard form restrictions changed. Only standard forms A, E, I, U, V, W and Y were left unaltered. Four new standard form restrictions have been introduced (Forms MM, NN, OO and PP).
Note that, under the 2008 Rules, no transitional period applies in relation to the use of the original (old) standard form restrictions. As from 10th November 2008, the old standard forms became non-standard. Although many of the changes are minor (and may only relate to optional parts of the restriction) if you are using restriction wording from one of your own documents, you should check that the wording still fits within the template of a new standard form. I
Remember that, if an application for a restriction is now made, and a 2008 revised form of restriction is not used, the restriction will be non-standard, so that a Form RX1 must accompany the application, and an £80 fee will be payable.
