The following cases were reported in the September 2005 issue of the CPI Update:
- Legends Surf Shops plc v Sun Life Assurance Society plc – Insolvency; receivership; execution of an AGA;
- Debenhams Retail Plc v Sun Alliance & London Ass. Co Ltd (CA) - Rent review; interpretation of turnover rent provisions;
- Littman v Aspen Oil (Broking) Ltd – Interpretation of a break clause;
- Rickman v Brudenell-Bruce - Restrictive covenants requiring consent; implied requirement for reasonableness;
- Mahon v Sims - Restrictive covenants requiring consent; implied requirement for reasonableness;
- Dogan v Semali Investments Ltd - 1954 Act; redevelopment; section 30(1)(f) LTA 1954;
- Groveholt Ltd v Hughes (CA) - Overage clauses; validity of an overage charge; effect of disclaimer.
